PUBLIC NOTICE
The Department of Environmental Protection is holding a public meeting on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in Philipsburg, PA to discuss and accept comments on a proposed Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) of pollutants for streams in the Moshannon Creek Watershed.

The Moshannon Creek Watershed Coalition is an organization
made up of local citizens and supported by the Clearfield and Centre
County Conservation Districts and the Pennsylvania Department of
Environmental Protection. The group’s mission is to improve
and maintain the social, recreational, economic and ecological quality
of the Moshannon Creek for future generations. The group is addressing
water quality issues, including the effects of acid mine drainage
on Moshannon Creek.
