Public Notice

The Department of Environmental Protection is holding a public meeting on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Rush Township Building located at 150 North Richard Street in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania to discuss and accept comments on a proposed TMDL for streams in the Moshannon Creek Watershed located in Clearfield and Centre Counties. The TMDL relates to the Total Maximum Daily Load of pollutants that Moshannon Creek can sustain and still be a healthy stream. The current health of Moshannon Creek and the pollution being discharged to it from abandoned mines will be discussed.
