Through the cooperation of the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, and many other private organizations and individuals, four log cross vane structures, one single log vane, and random boulders were installed in the Beaver Run channel. Fish began utilizing the habitat structures within minutes of their installation, and a trout exceeding 20-inches in size was spotted resting in one of the log cross vanes on the day of the project. Since the structures were installed, the stream has responded as planned, and scour pools and other habitat areas have developed nicely.
