Meeting Minutes

September 25, 2008 — SPECIAL MEETING

Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Art Beveridge and the group was led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

A formal Agenda was not provided for this meeting. This was a public meeting held at the Houtzdale Firehall In Houtzdale, PA.

Adoption of Minutes — June Minutes were accepted as written. July minutes were accepted as written. August Minutes were accepted as written.

Treasurer’s Report — TR 40/41 $3,513.50, Shimel Run $636.00, Headwaters $868.86, TR36 $2,725.00, Phase II $1,269.32, General Fund $16,460.73

Old Business:
Billboard — The billboard was moved by JR Saupp, Saupp Signs.

Guest Speakers:
Jen Demchak spoke about Shimel Run Assessment and Restoration Plan.
Amy Wolfe gave a general overview of the West Branch Susquehanna Restoration Initiative.

New Business:
Art stressed the need for local education and local involvement, and also the need for the public to contact our politicians to help our cause. He also expressed our need for volunteers for the next round of sampling — hopefully to start in October.

New Membership Application Time — No new memberships at this time.
