Meeting Minutes

May 27, 2008

Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Art Beveridge and the group was led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Adoption of the Agenda — Approved.

Adoption of Minutes — No meeting minutes for April. Meeting was not held due to voting that day.

Treasurer’s Report — Treasurer not present.

Old Business:
Growing Greener Grant — Introduced Eric Weaver, Jen’s intern. 20% up front start unapproved by John Mital and coming to Dave. Need to get Dave a copy of award paperwork. Need to look for west PA small W.S. grant $15,000 for Trout Run. Tell Jen if check doesn’t come. Jen will follow up if Art doesn’t get it tomorrow. Money was for Trout Run moved to 36/38/40/41, done June 2009. Aaron got Moshannon Creek landowners and Ann’s staff got Centre County. Letters being sent. Phase I extended to December (Phase I assessment) Macro work done for Phase II today and tomorrow. Shimel Run done end of June. Art said George Mekis working in Gearhart Hollow. DEP working.

Guest Speaker/Meeting — Maybe in Houtzdale in September.

Billboard — Relocation – Billboard location staked. Saupp Signs to move.

Dominion Grant — Need to spend $500. Need help. Give written text to Mike. Rachel may have another intern. Art talked of a group getting United Way funding. Check to see how that can be done.

Triathlon — Carl said it went well. There were 71 paid participants. 19 individual/rest teams, good weather/

New Business:
Watershed Festival Donation Letter — Getting put together. The festival will be August 24. The park is reserved and we’re getting tents. There has been no decision on music. Van Wagner would be a possibility. Committee needs to meet. Ann said maybe to apply to Centre. Comm. Foundation for money. Due June 1 - $2,500.

New Grants — PA American $7500, Publicity – check dedication/

New Membership Application Time — No new members

The next regular meeting will be held June 24, 2008.
