Educational Tour — August 21, 2009 — We lost the Gearhartville Sportsmen’s Club. Got another smaller venue – the Golden Cantina at the Osceola Mills VFW. Facility is less expensive, but food is slightly more expensive. Need an idea about menu and number of people attending 2 weeks in advance. Mike to ask Susan about supplying our own donuts. The tour is one of six for the entire West Branch Susquehanna River area. Sites for the tour and speakers are yet to be determined.

New Business:
Beaver Run Habitat Project — Fish and Boat Commission will be doing a habitat reconstruction in Houtzdale along Beaver Run. Volunteers are needed for June, July, or August. Materials and backhoe are needed.

Clearfield Community Day — Clearfield Community Day at the Spikes game. If there are 25 people from a group, tickets are cheaper and a display could be set up. Kelly will keep us posted. Note: May 16 is the triathlon.

Power Plants — Shawville Power Plant is putting hot water into the stream which will kill the fish. Wanted to enter an agreement with DEP to put in an active treatment somewhere else in order to still be able to put the warm water into the stream.
