Meeting Minutes

February 27, 2007
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Art Beveridge and the group was led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Adoption of the Agenda – Approved.

January meeting minutes were accepted as amended.

There was not a treasurer’s report at this meeting.

Old Business:
Growing Greener Grant – For headwaters, we will submit in April.

Dominion/Western Pennsylvania Conservancy Grant – Placemats were submitted to the printer February 27. We will place them at different area restaurants.

League of Women Voters Grant – Michael Malicki submitted, he stated that we should hear back this week.

New Business:
Shimel Run Update – Kevin said Shimel Run is pretty much frozen over. He went over the sites with and gave an information sheet to Jim.

Moshannon Creek Update – Art Beveridge said that the routes are being adjusted. Next day for sampling is March 11, 2007.

Trout Run/Rt. 970 Permit & Design Sites (Money Moved) – Art talked to Jen, she had approved that the money be used for 2 other sites, will try to get a match from Chesapeake Bay.

New Grant Applications – Discussed was to apply for Moshannon Creek assessment from Bear Run to Trout Run.

Other:
Attending our meeting this month was Becky from Trout Unlimited. Also, Ann reminded us that April 21st is Centre County Clean-Up, we discussed how we might participate.

Bill added that in August, West Branch Community Day is at the high school and trying to find vendors, non-profits. He will let us know next month of the details. Bill also brought some old mine maps and photos of when 220 bypass was being built.

The next meeting will be March 27, 2007 at 7:00 pm at the Rush Township building.
