Meeting Minutes

February 23, 2010

The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 pm.

Adoption of the Agenda — Accepted with one addition.

Adoption of Minutes — Accepted as written.

Treasurer’s Report — General Funds Balance: $10,579.62; Growing Greener Grants: TR36 Closed, TR40 Closed, Headwaters Closed – NMBS donated $627.12 back to MCWC, AMD Mo Creek Phase II $6,633.83, MCFORE (New grant) $7,838.00.

Old Business:
Growing Greener Grant — No news.

Other Grants — Ann is applying for a grant by American Water. Rough draft is started but needs finalized. Mike will send draft to members. CCRTA Grant due April 16? Kelly will work on the application.

Trout Run — No news.

Water DOG Meeting — Thursday, February 25 at 6:30 PM. Jim Weaver will teach.

Constitution Change — No majority of the board was present. Vote will be postponed.

Planning for Festival — August 22 was decided as the date. Rich M. suggested that we contact the miniature horses to have them appear. Art will contact the Osceola Mills Borough about using the pool/park area for the festival, and also contact Lezzer Lumber about getting the trailer/stage. Suggested to contact Shavers Creek about exhibiting.

Spring Clean Up — April 17th. Still need to pick a site or sites.

New Business:
Election of Officers (Nominations) — Elected as printed on ballot.

Beaver Run — First project is done. In spring another project will be done on Beaver Run – similar to the first project. There was some grant money left over. There will be a total of 4 projects done in Clearfield County.

New Membership Application Time — No new members
