Planning for Festival — Plan to send letters asking for donations early and then send second round closer to the festival, maybe in June. Tentatively plan for August 29, 2010. Check calendars and see if August 22 or 29 would be better. CCRTA – Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Authority could be a source for a grant. Kelly will apply for the grant for MCWC.
Spring Clean Up — April 17? Need to find possible site. Partner with Clearwater Conservancy for a site in Centre County. Contact Veolia about a dumpster.
It Is For You Contract (NMBS) — Discussed general conditions and possibly changing some wording regarding payment. Being a non-profit and getting grant money should enable us to get different terms. Discussed how contractors could get paid on time when funds come from state grants, which are usually late in arriving.
Training for Water Dogs Group — Training program set up in Tioga County to monitor drilling operations. Kelly would like to get a group together in Clearfield County to get trained people to be “out and about” to monitor drilling operations. Measure TDS – Total Dissolved Solids. Kelly will send info to be passed on to the group.
Proposed Change to Constitution — Proposed change was presented. Will be sent to all members and voted upon at next meeting.
